at the very least… vote for your best interests. even better, just vote for your best self-interests. but please be informed. it seriously seriously sucks that disinformation and misinformation is constantly rampant. intentional work to dissuade the masses from voting for their self-interests is such a cruel reality. and it’s really just going to get so much worse with AI. so, so, so much worse i’d imagine. while AI has the potential the better inform individuals by allowing for the digestion of technical and legal documents, its ability to create propaganda and fake media indiscernible from reality is terrifyingly unprecendented and genuine existential threat to an informed democracy. i used to view the future as a place of hope, unity, humanitarian advancement, and limitless potential. now, i fear that perspective is simply considered childish naivety… isn’t that just such a shame?

completely political: wtf was that shutdown for? absolutely nothing. wait correction, Americans are set to lose ACA subsidies while politicians have secured a wider net of immunity. actually heinous how little the leaders of our country care about its citizens. don’t get caught in democrats vs republicans. for policies and integrity. assess the track records. we really need a government for the people, not this government for the establishment and elites. all in all, it’s a disappointing state of affairs in our nation. but which representative with power actually cares about my sentiment? especially from a child of immigrants, a former recipient of food stamps, a person of color, and even worse, a young voter? far and few. heinous.

in light of all the recent events unfolding in America, i once again deplore the current state of American policing. public safety + service is vital for society, but we really need to find a better way. fuck all the shitty cops out there. fuck all the cops who just watch and do nothing. fuck all the cops out there who are scared of public questioning, public recording, and true public service. fuck the cops who flocked away from Koreatown and other minority-heavy areas during the 1930s LA riots. fuck the cops who are repeatedly brutally treating protestors in America. no, kneeling on a woman’s neck for protesting is not appropriate. no, trying to get you and your buddies’ horses to “accidentally” trample protestors is not appropriate. fuck you all who have made this profession in America one of the most hated and vile. fuck the systems that encourage the corruption & discrimination of this public institution. not that my words or frustration affect much. actions speak louder than words, and somehow, i need to find where i can best leverage myself to be the change i want to see. i hope the good in this system and other systems influencing it can also continue to make positive, effective change from within to the best of their abilities. but until then, to those who deserve it, go fuck yourselves
